I’m not a proponent of DAOs, blockchain, or Web3 for that matter. I don’t think it brings decentralization, I think it’s mostly a dumpster fire, unfortunately. (See web3isgoinggreat.com) And I used to be one of blockchain’s biggest proponents, I even co-invented the first blockchain dedicated to SSI (Sovrin) and helped pioneer that movement. I believe in decentralization and self-sovereignty, but I do not believe anything in blockchain-based web3 actually delivers it.
And btw, the autonomy found in organizational identity is not for the individual, individuals are somewhat captive to the organization they work for when they are acting as representatives for that organization; the autonomy found in OI is for the organization, so it’s not bound to one particular power structure.
